A hundred works by the two artists : paintings, sculptures and graphic works, as well as photographs to illustrate the history of their relationship through the prism of this particular theme.
The exhibition is divided into 5 sections around the different modalities of the relationship between the artist and his model:
Project: The question of the duplication of the perceptive act. Empathic projection.
Transformation : Transform the figure from the mutability of the sign. Morphogenesis, serial work and iterative processes.
Desire: The odalisque and the sleeper, figures of abandonment.
Ownership: Figures of Eros at Matisse and Picasso, violence and opposition.
Transcend: The workshop as a representation of the omnipresence of the artist.
